Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd “Terms and Conditions” the following is for the guidance of all students, parents and guardians on behalf of the location/Instructor that you have registered with.
Please Note that Students who are enrolled into The Wing Chug Kung Fu Schools Organisation are done so by an Authorised Instructor for the location that you are registering too, Students, Parents and Guardians should note that they do not have a direct association to the Organisation and should therefore direct all questions, enquiries and concerns back to the instructor that you have enrolled with.
These Terms and Conditions are issued for guidance and any query should be relayed back to your enrolled Wing Chun School and Instructor.
Please read these terms and conditions as upon registering as a new student and/or account holder we “the organisation” and “Your Instructor” will recognise that you are happy with and understand these terms and conditions of joining and becoming a member of Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd and its locations.
These terms apply to all members who have joined Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd on an annual or lifetime membership basis, are paying tuition for Wing Chun Martial Arts classes by means of a complimentary, pay per class, monthly or paid in full option and are subject to change without notification and we advise that you review these on a regular basis.
1. Who We Are
Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd is the governing body responsible for the brand known as Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd. It is owned and directed by Sifu Scott Rowlinson who is focused on the growth and development of its schools, instructors and members.
2. Membership
Your membership will start from the date entered at the point of your registration by means of our online registration system, the date completed on any paper copy version of the registration form, or completed from any marketing material that you may have directly requested or have been sent.
Your membership may be completed at a dedicated Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd venue; a venue that has been hired from a 3rd party, an example being ” a community hall or similar”; a venue that has been agreed by both parties, an example being “a customer place of residence, public meeting place” and be completed by “the customer/student/guardian” and the “school instructor” or “team member acting on behalf of the instructor”.
2.1 Annual Membership
Your annual membership will continue automatically unless YOU terminate your membership, in line with section 2.3.2 below.
2.1.1 Membership types
Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd student memberships are charged as follows:
2.1.1a Adult Annual Membership age group 13+ (but not exclusive)
Adult “annual” membership meaning valid for 12 months for students aged generally 13+, if a parent or guardian wishes to place a younger student into the adult aged group who fall below the age of 13 the adult membership will still be applicable.
Adult annual membership is charged at £49.00 per annum (VAT inclusive where applicable).
2.1.1b Adult Lifetime Membership aged 13+ (but not exclusive)
Adult “lifetime” membership meaning for as long as Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd continues to trade, either under the name of Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd or a change of name under the same company registration number.
Adult lifetime membership is charged at £250.00 (VAT inclusive where applicable) and is a one-off payment with no annual renewal after the student’s current 12 month membership period.
Should the Student leave training Life time membership is not refundable as a whole or part and once paid ensure that the student is a member of Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools for life.
Students wishing to return to training will be required to rejoin the school that they wish to join and the schools Terms and Conditions will still be required to be fulfilled and does not affect the students lifetime membership.
2.1.1c Junior Warrior Annual Membership aged 7 to 12 years (but not exclusive)
Junior Warrior “annual” membership meaning valid for 12 months for students aged generally 7 years old to 13 years old, if a parent or guardian wishes to place a younger or older student into the Junior Warrior aged classes who fall below the age of 7 or above the age of 13 the Junior Warrior membership will still be applicable.
Junior Warrior annual membership is charged at £39.00 per annum (VAT inclusive).
2.1.1d Junior Warrior Lifetime Membership aged 7 to 12 Years Old (but not exclusive)
Junior Warrior “lifetime” membership meaning for as long as Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd continues to trade under the name of Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd or a change of name under the same company registration number.
Junior Warrior lifetime membership is charged at £250.00 (VAT inclusive) and is a one-off payment with no annual renewal after the student’s current 12 month membership period.
2.1.1e Little Dragon Annual Membership aged 4 to 6 years (but not exclusive)
Little Dragon “annual” membership meaning valid for 12 months for students aged generally 4 years old to 6 years old, if a parent or guardian wishes to place a younger or older student into the Little Dragon aged classes who fall below the age of 4 or above the age of 6 the Little Dragon membership will still be applicable.
Little Dragon annual membership is charged at £39.00 per annum (VAT inclusive).
2.1.1f Little Dragon Lifetime Membership aged 4 to 6 Years Old (but not exclusive)
Little Dragon “lifetime” membership meaning for as long as Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd continues to trade under the name of Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd or a change of name under the same company registration number.
Little Dragon lifetime membership is charged at £250.00 (VAT inclusive) and is a one-off payment with no annual renewal after the student’s current 12 month membership period.
2.1.2 Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd Annual or Lifetime Membership does not give the student automatic entry to all Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd, entry is subject to the instructor’s discretion for that specific location.
2.1.3 Membership allows the student to train throughout all Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd subject to the Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd Rules and Regulations policy being followed at all times.
2.1.4 On completion of the Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd registration process and your confirmation link being activated by the account holder no refunds are permitted for the annual membership payment or lifetime membership payment.
2.2 Discounted Membership
Annual membership may from time to time be offered free of charge, or at a discounted rate, as a referral reward or at a complimentary rate. Any discount offers are not offered by Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd and will be subsidised and offered by a Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd authorised location/Instructor and offered solely by them.
2.3 Suspending, Cancelling or Transferring your membership
2.3.1 Suspending your membership
Your student membership cannot be suspended; membership is for a 12 month period from the date of activation and is different to a student’s tuition payment which can be cancelled at any time, please refer to section 6 below for tuition cancellation.
2.3.2 Cancelling Your Membership
2.3.2a If you wish to cancel your annual membership payment to Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd this can be done through your online account where you can deactivate your renewal.
2.3.2b If you wish to keep your membership active however opt out of automatic renewal your membership will automatically lapse at the end of the 12 month period from your anniversary date and your account will be closed and access to all training information removed, you must make a manual payment prior to the renewal date in order to keep your membership active.
2.3.2c If you cancel your annual membership all Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd grades and testing certification will be deleted and no longer be applicable, if you wish to restart your training in the future you will begin as a new student, please read this under section 7 certification.
2.3.3 Transferring your membership
Membership is individual to the student who has been enrolled and cannot be transferred to any other student, friend or family member.
2.3.4 Training with an expired membership
2.3.4a Annual student membership should be renewed on the day before its anniversary, students with inactive or expired membership are not covered under the group insurance policy and must not attend classes.
2.3.4b Where a student has no active membership and is a participant in a member to member accident or injury within the classroom or agreed venue it will be deemed the responsibility of this student to produce the appropriate insurance and may be held liable for any claim of injury.
2.3.4c Students should not attend class with no active membership and make sure to speak to the instructor prior to any attendance in order to renew at the earliest time possible to avoid training disruption.
2.4 Our right to cancel your membership
We may decide to cancel your membership if:
2.4a You break any of these terms and conditions
2.4b You put the health, safety or well-being of other members at risk
2.4c You put the health, safety or well-being of our Instructors at risk
2.4d You behave irresponsibly and violate our classroom rules and regulations
2.4e You engage in disruptive or violent behavior
2.4f You take action to bring the organisation into disrepute
2.4g If you use abusive or threatening behavior towards an Instructor or other student, this is deemed to be both inside the classroom environment and outside, and includes text messages, direct telephone calls and emails, Any behaviour deemed inappropriate will be actioned accordingly.
2.5 h If repeated warnings are given to a student regarding his or her verbal or Physical behaviour towards others then membership and training will be cancelled with immediate effect.
If we decide it is appropriate to cancel your membership no refund of your annual membership is applicable in these circumstances.
3. Courses and Tuition
Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd does not have a direct relationship with its members, account holders or guardians who take up Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd martial arts classes or activities. Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd Instructors are independent license holders authorised and governed by Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd, all students are a direct customer of the instructor and school where the membership has been issued.
All enquiries, queries and questions relating to a students training and activities must be taken up directly with the instructor in question.
3.1 Joining Fee
A joining fee may be charged in addition to the Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd membership fee and is done at the discretion of the Instructor and is subject to the need of the location and instructor’s requirements.
3.2 Pro Rata Tuition
A student may be asked to pay for the remaining classes of the month depending on the date of registration, this is to be discussed directly with the school owner/Instructor.
3.3 Courses available
Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd is an advisory organisation only and has set the following courses as guidelines for its schools:
3.3.1 Basic Course (Adults and Children)
This course is an introductory course only and designed to give the student a basic start to the school and the Wing Chun System. This course will allow the student to set the goal of the Phase 1 and the 4th student grade only, students who wish to stay on the basic course cannot progress past this point.
3.3.1.1 The basic course sets a maximum of two 1 hour classes per week however in some venues (And London) this may be set to one class per week and is subject to the instructors discretion.
3.3.1.2 Instructor may set the class time to 1.5 hours however this can be changed and amended if required by the instructor of the location.
3.3.2 Black belt Course (Children) / Advanced Course (Adults)
This course is designed to give the student an overview (Not Technical Understanding) of the complete Wing Chun System and takes the student to the goal of Black Belt (Children) or 12th Student Grade (Adults). Students who wish to stay on the Black Belt or advanced course having achieved the Black Belt or 12th Student Grade can do so on an ongoing basis however will not progress past this this grade.
Note: The Basic and Black Belt/Advanced courses are student courses and all instructors are authorised to teach these subject to achieving the correct teaching certification as issued by Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd (The Governing Body)
3.3.3 Masters Course (Adults)
This course is designed and run by the governing body with the aim of developing its students past the level of the 12 student grades and in the direction of mastering the art of Wing Chun Kung Fu, the master course consists of achieving 4 pre-master levels and a final testing as a master of Wing Chun Kung Fu.
Only fully qualified instructors of the governing body are authorised to teach this course and only the head of Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools personally qualifies its master students to attain such grades.
Note: The masters course is an organisational course and only instructors authorised to teach on behalf of the governing body are permitted to teach the correct material for this.

3.3.4 Leadership Course (Children) / Instructor course (Adults)
Note: The Leadership course (Children) and the Instructor course (Adults) is run by the governing body only, this course is not permitted to be taught by non governing body instructors and all students and instructors on this course are required to fulfill the criteria and qualification process as set out in the instructor manual.
Note: The Leadership Course (Children) / Instructor course (Adults) are organisational courses and only authorised instructors are permitted to teach on behalf of the governing body.
3.4 Monthly Tuition payment,
3.4.1 Suspending of monthly tuition
Suspension of your monthly/class tuition is at the sole discretion of the school owner and must be raised directly with them, if you stop any tuition payments without notification then a joining fee may be applied if you wish to rejoin the location.
3.4.2 Cancellation of tuition payments
3.4.2a If you wish to cancel your tuition payments it is requested that you inform the instructor directly, if you are looking to restart your training at a later point then a joining fee may be applied unless this has been agreed in writing at the time of cancellation.
3.4.2b It is the responsibility of the student/account holder to cancel any standing orders that have been set up for the tuition monthly payment, failure to do so will incur the monthly payment being made and refunds may not be issued without cancellation notice.
3.4.2c If a reoccurring monthly payment has been set up by the student/account holder on a debit or credit card through the online payment system it is the responsibility of the student/account holder to cancel this payment with the card issuer, cancellation can be requested directly to the instructor and they will request the payment to be cancelled with the online payment collection service however, any request received after payment has been debited will not be refunded.
3.5 Transferring your tuition
3.5.1 Tuition payments can not be transferred between students or family members, all payments made are for the individual student and will be calculated in full over the period of training if requested.
3.5.2 Transferring tuition to a new venue
Students can transfer from one location to another upon request and will be authorised at the discretion of the new venue and instructor in question.
If a student transfers to a new venue or to a new instructor all tuition payments that have previously been made will be held on the same student account and transfer with the student, in the case of the student wishing to know the total tuition paid from the date of joining this can be viewed on the student account.
3.6 Tuition costs and payments
3.6.1 Pay per class Tuition
Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools does not operate a policy of pay per class however at the discretion of the instructor they may from time to time offer this as a method of paying for training/classes, please speak directly to the instructor to discuss this where required.
3.6.2 Pay monthly Tuition
Tuition is charged on a monthly basis, this is either charged in advance from the joining date of the student or on a pro-rata basis from the date of joining until the end of that current month and then paid in advance for each and every month.
3.6.2a Tuition is payable in advance and never in arrears, any student that does not make the appropriate payment for tuition may asked to make payment to catch up on this and where a student/account holder does not make payment may be asked to leave the classes/venue and to stop training until tuition payments are caught up.
3.6.2b Instructors may charge on a pay per knowledge basis and this may be linked to course material rather than a specific amount of classes to be attended, this means that students do not pay a set amount for a set number of classes however will pay an agreed tuition fee on a monthly basis as set by the Instructor. Instructor have a right to review material taught and what is offered and what is paid for.
3.6.3 Paid in full tuition (PIF)
3.6.3a Students may wish to pay in full for a group of training classes, period of time of training or a course in full, prices can be discussed with the individual instructor if this is required.
3.6.3b A discount may be offered if a group of classes or course payment is made in full, this will be set by the individual instructor and may vary.
3.6.3c Where a discount has been given for any payment in full no refunds will be applicable in the future if the student/account holder no longer wishes to train or take part in the classes that have been paid for, it is recommended that the student/account holder only pays in full for any course or training sessions if they fulfill the contract of completion for the course.
3.7 Down Payments
A down payment is an element of the overall course cost which is asked for upfront upon joining a course, the down payment is not a deposit, a deposit can sometimes be refundable upon no uptake of a course or class, a down payment is non refundable and is made by the student to represent a commitment to joining the school/classes/course that has been offered to them.
3.7.1 Down payment refund
No refunds will be permitted for any down payment made upon joining a course, it is recommended that the student only places a down payment to a course if they wish to commit and pursue the course.
If the student/account holder cancels the students monthly tuition payments, then this will equate to the cancellation of all training. The down payment is not refundable in full or part and if the student wishes to rejoin at a later date the instructor may apply an additional down payment to rejoin the course.
3.8 Course charges
Each course as detailed in section 3.3 has an overall course cost/value that is set based on the time required to achieve the goal of the course, please speak to the instructor should you wish to know the time scales or hours required for each training course.
3.9 Online Training and Tuition
Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Offers online training and Tuition, this does not allow the student to attend a physical class and registration with that school would be required additionally to any online enrollment and subscription

Advanced course £30.00 Per Month
Masters Course £50.00 Per Month
Instructor Course £100.00 Per month
4. Gradings, Grading & Testing fee’s, Certification
The certification of students within the Wing Chun System is issued and monitored by the governing body only, students who wish to attain a certification of the student grades 1 to 12 are allowed to do so by following the correct curriculum as laid out by the governing body at the time of certification and the student must provide a demonstration of the appropriate material as detailed within the grading syllabus.
The following gives an indication of the correct certification by course and who is allowed to test students:
4.1 The basic course
Students who are on the Little Dragons course may grade to the level of LD Red Sash, Instructors who are qualified to Sifu Level 1 for teaching children may test and grade these students.
Students who are on the Junior Warrior course may grade to the level of Junior Green/Red Sash, Instructors who are qualified to Sifu Level 1 for teaching children may test and grade these students.
Students who are on the Adult course may grade to the level of the 4th student grade, Instructors who are qualified to Sifu Level 1 for teaching adults may test and grade these students.
4.2 Black Belt or Advanced Course
Students who are on the Little Dragons course may grade to the level of Black Stripe, Instructors who are qualified to Sifu Level 3 for teaching children may test and grade these students, Instructors who are qualified to Sifu level 2 may grade Little Dragons to the grade of Little Dragon Blue Sash.
Students who are on the Junior Warrior course may grade to the level of Junior Black Sash, Instructors who are qualified to Sifu Level 3 for teaching children may test and grade these students, Instructors who are qualified to Sifu level 2 may grade Junior Warriors to the grade of Junior Warrior Brown/Blue Sash.
Students who are on the Adult advanced course may grade to the level of the 12th student grade, Instructors who are qualified to Sifu Level 3 for teaching adults may test and grade these students, Instructors who are qualified to Sifu level 2 for adults testing may grade adults to the grade of 8.
Only authorised instructors of the governing body are allowed to grade students between phases, this is Little Dragon White/Green Sash, White/Brown Sash and White/Black Sash, Junior Warriors Green Sash, Brown Sash and Black Sash, Adults Grade 5, grade 9 and grade 12.
4.3 Grading fees
4.3.1 Grading fees are charged per grade purchased by the student or account holder as follows:
- Adults Grade 1 through to 12 £35.00
- Junior Warrior £20.00
- Little Dragon £20.00
4.3.2 No Discount is available on single grading fees purchased
4.3.3 Grading fees are available to be purchased in full associated for the course that the student is placed on as follows:
- Adult and Children Basic course grades 1-4 only
- Adult and Children Advanced course or Black Belt course grades 1-12 only
- Adult and Children advanced course or black belt course can purchase paid in full grades up to but not past the 4th student grade or children equivalent.
4.3.3.1 Paid in full grading fees cannot be purchased on the basic course if the student has passed or been graded on the 1st student grade/Children 1st Grade
4.3.3.2 Paid in full grading fees cannot be purchased on the advanced or black belt course if the student has been graded for or passed the 4th student grade
4.3.4 Grading fee refunds
4.3.4.1 Grading fees for single grades purchased are not refundable therefore please only purchase these if you wish to grade, certificates will be issued to the instructor/student for the purchase
4.3.4.2 Grading fees for paid in full grading fees are not refundable therefore please only purchase these if you accept responsibility for your training to either grade 4 or grade 12 as purchased, all certificates purchased will be issued to the instructor/student.
4.3.4.3 Online grading library, the online grading library for all grades purchased will be activated as soon as the purchase is made and grading material will be live for the student/account holder to view. This will remain active for the term of the annual membership that is purchased.
4.3.4.4 Grading fees are purchased directly through the instructor of your registered school, grading fees purchased through the online grading library are still purchased through the instructor/registered location and not the organisation.
4.3.4.5 Any queries related to grading fees should be directly directed to the instructor of the registered location and not the organisation.
4.4 Masters Course, Testing and Pre-Testing
4.4.1 Certification of Master students is only permitted by Sifu Scott Rowlinson.
4.4.2 Pretesting days are set to help students understand the level of requirement that needs to be achieved.
4.4.3 Master level testing is set at one full day per master level, this is to measure the level of improvement at each stage as well as the achievement of the new level.
4.5 Leadership/Instructor Course
4.5.1 National Training days are compulsory for all candidates and instructors within Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools, this is to ensure that the highest possible training, standards and skill level are upheld and the most modern practices of teaching utilised.
These days are called Sifu Days and any one who wishes to attend is welcome subject to approval and can pass Sifu level 1, 2,3, 4 and 5, information about this can be found within the instructor brochure pack which is available upon request.
4.6 Regional Grading
4.6.1 Students wishing attain grades that cross over each phase as detailed above are required to attend a regional or national grading day, these are held by Sifu Scott Rowlinson only and certificates will not be issued to students who have not attended this day.
4.7 Certificates
4.7.1 Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools do not accept responsibility for lost or damaged certificates once issued to the student
4.7.2 Replacement certificates can be purchased directly through the instructor of your enrolled school at a cost of £20.00 for adults and £10.00 for children
4.8 Training Time Scales per course
4.8.1 Student courses are not specifically time related and students can stay on each course for as long as they wish, the information listed here is for guidance purposes as to the average time that it should take for a student to pass through the curriculum for that course and therefore pass the grades that are associated for that course.
Basic course 8 months (Student grades 1 – 4)
Advanced course 36 months (Student grades 1 – 12)
Masters 1 Course 54 Months
Masters 2 Course 78 Months
Masters 3 Course 114 Months
Masters 4 Course 162 Months
Masters 5 Course 222 Months
Course length can be reduced subject to the authorisation of a National Sifu Level 5 who represents the Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Organisation, Terms and Conditions apply as per section 4.9 of these terms and conditions.
4.9 Course time reduction
Students are allowed to reduce the length of time to pass their gradings and certification if the following criteria has been met
4.9.1 Basic
4.9.1.1 A Minimum time served of 50% by the end of the grade of 4
4.9.2 Advanced course
4.9.2.1 A Minimum time served of 50% by the end of grade 11
4.9.2.2 Grade 12 can only be passed if the minimum time of 36 months has been served unless the student is on the Masters course where then
4.9.2.3 A student can pass grade 12 by month 24 and not before.
4.9.3 Masters Course
4.9.3.1 Masters grades can be passed subject to a minimum of 50% time served
4.9.3.2 Master Grades can be passed early if the student has a active School license
4.10 Masters Testing fees
4.10.1 Masters Testing fees are applicable for each Masters level and certification, this includes Master Level 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5
4.10.2 Masters Testing fees are set at £500.00 in total for the specific Master level of testing and can be broken down into pretesting payments and a final test fee if authorised by the head instructor of Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools
4.10.3 Pre testing payments can be made at £50.00 per day with a maximum of 6 days, these can be paid as the student progresses and will be deducted from the total testing fee of £500.00
4.10.4 Pre Testing payments can be made in full at £300.00 leaving a final testing fee of £200.00 to be paid on the day of the final test, Payments for pretesting days are not refundable and only make these payment if you are committed to fulfilling your Masters level testing.
4.10.5 Pretesting is not compulsory and may be offered at the time by the head instructor of Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools to Master Students to measure there progression, if a student pays for this part of the overall testing amount of £500.00 and does not attend any or all pretesting days then this does not constitute to missed attendance and simply forms part of the overall testing payment.
4.10.6 If any or all pretesting payments have been made then full and final payment of the remaining testing fees will be due on the day at latest of the student full Masters test.
5. Uniform and Merchandise
The purchase of uniform is not compulsory however it is advised and recommended that students take their new hobby/activity seriously and represent themselves and our brand accordingly, all merchandise and uniform can be purchased directly from your instructor or student dashboard.
5.1 Students wishing to engage in contact sparring must purchase governing body approved protective gear only.
5.2 Any merchandise that is used that is not issued from the Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools governing body may not be deemed as appropriate and may invalidate your member to member insurance should an injury occur.
5.3 Students wishing to attend regional grading days must be in full uniform which is maintained in a smart and presentable manner.
5.4 Students wishing to attend national seminars must be in full uniform which is maintained in a smart and presentable manner.
6. School Time tables and class session times
Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd do their best to maintain a fully running timetable and class availability across all venues, the aim for each full time instructor is to provide full time Wing Chun Kung Fu Martial Arts Schools.
6.1 In the event of a venue/school being financially unviable the head instructor will take steps firstly to amend the situation where possible with the venue in question, if required the instructor as a secondary measure may reduce the amount of classes available until the situation improves.
6.2 Cancellation of classes may occur if all avenues to make a venue viable have not proved successful.
6.3 In the event that a school/venue becomes financially unviable the head instructor may from time to time make the decision to close the location.
6.4 Recommended class schedules will be issued to the instructor however it is at the discretion of the instructor as to the class times and days that they wish to run.
7. Insurance
Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd offers the following insurance:

It is the responsibility of Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd to hold an annual group insurance policy that covers all of its customers, students and instructors for injury whilst on any premises either owned, rented or hired for the purpose of holding its training classes, this insurance allows for accidents caused at registered Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools and held by its certified instructors only.
Accidents incurred through the cause of the premises and not Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd should be addressed directly to the venue in question where they should hold their own public liability insurance policy.
7.1.1 Organisational New member complimentary class Insurance inclusion
Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools recommends to its instructors that they offer one class free of charge (Called a complimentary class) to all new students wishing to try Wing Chun Kung Fu Martial Arts and to see if Wing Chun is right for them with Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools.
7.1.1.1 Students trialing a first class will be included within the Organisation insurance policy as long as the booking has been recorded through the locations reporting systems by the instructor making the booking.
7.1.1.2 Subsequent classes for new students who have not joined Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools will not be covered under the group insurance policy and any accidents or Claims will be referred to the Group Insurer for appraisal however should be taken up with the instructor in question.
7.2 Member to Member Insurance
Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd offers within its insurance schedule, insurance between its registered student members, this is where an injury has occurred through contact with another student or member whilst on the premises and in the training sessions only (This is only applicable for members with an active membership).
7.3 Instructor Indemnity insurance
This insurance policy is personal to each instructor and is not the responsibility of Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd, this insurance covers any claim against the instructor in question for personal liability where applicable, Any claim of this nature should be directed directly to the Instructor in question.
Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd recommends and insists that each instructor maintains this insurance however Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd can only recommend this and not enforce it as it is a personal insurance policy and not an organisational policy with the group insurer.
8. Your personal information
We take our responsibility to look after your personal information extremely seriously and you can find out how we use, store and delete the information that we hold about you on our Privacy Policy page or how to request the information that we hold on you by completing the Data Protection form. You may ask us to delete any information held about you at any time however if we are requested to delete any information that we hold about you this may affect your membership and training with Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd.
It is your responsibility to keep us updated and to inform us about any changes to your personal information.
9. Our responsibility to you
9.1 Personal Belongings
It is your responsibility to look after and care for you own personal belongings whilst attending any training classes or venues and we advise that you do not leave any valuable items without supervision.
9.1.1 We are not responsible for any personal possessions that you bring to your classes or tuition based environment.
9.1.2 If you lose any personal belongings please notify the instructor immediately so they can inform the venue in question or speak of other students of the class to investigate this loss.
9.1.3 It is not our responsibility if your personal belongings are damaged.
9.1.4 We are not liable if your personal belongings are stolen at a venue and we recommend that you report this incident to both the instructor and the relevant authorities immediately.
9.2 Accidents or injuries
If you have an accident or injure yourself at one of our classes you must report this to the instructor immediately and they must record this in an accident and emergency book with full details of the incident or injury, do not leave the premises before recording this information, please supply as much information as possible.
10. Brand Name and Use
The brand name of Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd and its subsidiary branding titles as detailed here are solely and exclusively owned by Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Ltd, the use of these brand names are restricted to those authorised by the director in writing or under license by an authorised license agreement.
10.1 Unauthorised use of the brand name and/or logos will be requested to be removed.
10.2 Any unauthorised use of the brand name and logos that are not removed upon request may be pursued through legal means.
11. Instructors
11.1 All Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools Instructors are independent instructors and are not directly employed by the organisation, they are licensed under the terms and conditions of a school license agreement.
11.2 Any and all queries relating to the school and/or organisation should be directed to the instructor of the location that you have made your enquiry to or may have joined.
11.3 Instructors are licensed to teach on behalf of Wing Chun Kung Fu Schools and are responsible to follow the guidelines of the organisation, Where individual instructors chose not to follow the guidelines that have been set out in its License agreement then full responsibility will lay with the instructor in question.
12. Changes to these terms and conditions
We may from time to time change and update these terms and conditions.
We will give you at least 30 days notice to inform you of any significant changes that may affect your membership via email communication however this may not be the case for small minor amendments, these may be announced through the instructor or in venue notifications
Please take the time to check and read these terms and conditions in order to check for any updates, read through our schools rules and regulation policy, code of conduct policy and the privacy policy document as well as the Medical information policy that we have written to keep you safe within the classroom.
